Análisis del sector camaronero y su participación en el crecimiento económico del Ecuador, período 2013-2017

Resumen
El presente proyecto de investigación consiste en un análisis de la relevancia de la industria camaronera en la economía ecuatoriana, teniendo en consideración que dicha industria durante el año 2017, registro un crecimiento de 17% y que entre los primeros 4 meses del año 2018 comercializó 343 millones de libras, superando la cantidad comercializada del año anterior durante el mismo periodo. Esta industria ha tenido problemas tales como la caída del precio de la libra de camarón, el alto costo del balanceado ocasionando que los costos de producción sean más altos y por último está la falta de generación de valor agregado, a pesar de esto muestra cifras favorables convirtiendo a esta actividad atractiva. Con base en lo antes mencionado se determina que el objetivo general de la investigación es “Analizar la participación del sector camaronero en el crecimiento económico del Ecuador, periodo 2013-2017”. En cuanto al PIB camaronero durante el periodo 2013 -2017, presenta una tendencia creciente, que aporta el 1.14% del valor del PIB Nacional, siendo este el 64% que proviene de actividades de explotación de criaderos y laboratorios y esta industria contribuye con el 1.3% de las plazas de empleo a nivel nacional, además de que su demanda de mano de obra, crece constantemente.
This research project consists of an analysis of the relevance of the shrimp industry in the Ecuadorian economy, taking into consideration that this industry during the year 2017, registered a growth of 17% and that between the first 4 months of the year 2018 it commercialized 343 million pounds, surpassing the amount sold the previous year during the same period. This industry has had problems such as the fall in the price of the pound of shrimp, the high cost of the balance, causing production costs to be higher and finally there is the lack of added value generation, despite this it shows favorable figures making this activity attractive. Based on the aforementioned, it is determined that the general objective of the research is "Analyze the participation of the shrimp sector in the economic growth of Ecuador, 2013-2017 period". Regarding the shrimp GDP during the period 2013 -2017, it presents a growing trend, which contributes 1.14% of the value of the National GDP, being this 64% that comes from exploitation activities of breeding sites and laboratories and this industry contributes with the 1.3 % of employment positions nationwide, in addition to their demand for labor, constantly growing
