How to Shorten a Link in 3 Simple Steps

Shortening your URLs on n9.cl is fast and intuitive. No registration or software installation is required to get started.

Step 1: Paste Your Destination URL

Go to the n9.cl homepage. In the main input box (URL field), paste the long web address you wish to shorten (make sure it includes https:// or http://).

Step 2: Customize Your Link (Advanced Options)

If you want to give your URL a branded touch or add extra security, click the green Advanced Options button to reveal the following tools:

• Custom Alias: Type a unique keyword to replace the random short code (e.g., n9.cl/my-brand). You can use English letters a-z, numbers, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
• Password Protection: Protect access to your link by setting a passphrase of up to 100 characters. Visitors must enter it before being redirected.
• CAPTCHA Verification: Check the CAPTCHA box to shield your link against automated bots and malicious traffic.

Step 3: Generate Your Shortened URL

Once your options are set, click the blue Shorten button. Your short link will be generated instantly, ready to copy alongside an auto-generated QR code for easy sharing across social media and print materials.

How to View Link Analytics

To track your click performance in real time, simply prepend /stats/ to your shortened link path. For example, if your short URL is n9.cl/demo, view its stats by navigating to n9.cl/stats/demo.
